S.S. TJIBADAK (Netherlands) - WW2
The S.S. Tjibadak was a Dutch freighter that was sunk by a Japanese submarine in the Indian Ocean on March 26, 1944, a sinking which was followed by a massacre of most of the survivors, a major naval war crime.

Mr Norman Kenworthy passed away at the early age of 19 years at the Williamstown Hospital on 17th December. The funeral took place on Tuesday from Nelson Bros. chapel, and the remains were interred in the Church of England section in the Williamstown Cemetery. There was a large collection of beautiful floral tributes. Padre Oliver (Seamen's Mission) conducted impressive services at the chapel and graveside, and Nelson Bros. were the funeral directors.
