S.S. AUSTRALIAN TRANSPORT (West Hartlepool) - WW1
S.S. Australian Transport was sunk on 23 August 1918 by torpedo fired by German submarine UC-27 at position 38° 08' N, 11° 10' E - approximately 40 nautical miles West-North-West of Maritimo Island. She was enroute from Karachi to Bizerta with a cargo of wheat and onions.
