S.S. CAPE FINISTERRE  (Glasgow)  -  WW1

Cape Finisterre was a 4,380 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1907 by Russell & Co. for Cape Finisterre Steamship Co. Ltd. and managed by Lyle Shipping Co. Ltd. She was sunk on 2 November 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine UC-17 at position 50° 02' N, 05° 01' W - approximately 1 nautical mile South-South-East of the Manacles Buoy Cornwall. She was en route from New York and Falmouth to Brest with a cargo of steel billets.
