S.S. KEDOE  -  WW2

The SS Kedoe was a Dutch merchant steamship that served during World War II, surviving the war.

  • WWII Service: As a merchant vessel during the war, the Kedoe would have been involved in the vital, high-risk work of transporting cargo and possibly troops for the Allied war effort. Merchant seamen faced high casualty rates during the war, with the Battle of the Atlantic being particularly perilous. The Kedoe is listed on an Australian Merchant Navy Honour Roll as a ship that lost a seaman during the war, indicating its service in the conflict.
