WENT TO SEA AT 80

SYDNEY, Wednesday: On June 11, Henry Mawer Allen, 80, master mariner, who left home to take a ship to sea failed to arrive on board. He was later found drowned in the harbour.
At the inquest to-day the finding was one of accidental drowning and evidence was given to show that deceased was short-sighted and the night was dark.

SYDNEY. Thursday: Mystery of the disappearance of the octogenarian captain of a small coastal vessel, who left his home in Gardener's Rood. Mascot,

at 5 p.m. on June 11 to take his ship to sea. was solved next day. when his body was found floating near the ferry wharf at Darling Harbour.
At the Coroner's Court yesterday the Coroner (Mr. K. T. Oram) found that Henry Mawer Allen (80), master mariner, was accidentally drowned when he
fell into the Harbour as he was boarding his vessel Evidence was given that Allen Was short-sighted and that the night was dark.
