LOST AT SEA
Robert (Bob) Warren, formerly of Broken Hill, has been lost at sea following enemy action. He was an engineer in the merchant navy, and lost his life when the ship on which he was serving was sunk, it is believed, by a submarine. Bob was the son of Mr. P. H. Warren Senior Inspector of Mines, and left Broken Hill about two years ago. About l8 months ago he went to New Zealand, and was associated with the Air Force for a year. Recently he joined the merchant navy as an engineer and went to England. He remained in Glasgow and other places for some weeks and again went to sea as an engineer.
Advice was received in Sydney by Mr. Warren that his son had been lost at sea by enemy action.
