S.S. DARTFORD - WW2
Dartford was a 4,093 GRT steam cargo ship that was damaged by being bombed by aircraft on 12 April 1941. She was sunk on 12 June 1942 by a torpedo fired by German submarine U-124 at position 49° 19' N 41° 33' W. The loss of life of those recorded on the memorial relates to the latter attack.
