S.S. SWIFTPOOL (West Hartlepool)  -  WW2

S.S. Swiftpool was sunk on 5 August 1941 by a torpedo fired by German submarine U-372 ) off the west coast of Ireland 

The ship was on a voyage from Pepel, Sierra Leone, to Middlesbrough with a cargo of ore.
